Pro Tip: To achieve an absolute factory-perfect fit, clamp the lock body flat onto the internal face of your gate stile before drilling any holes. Mark out the exact center point for the cylinder hole. Use a sharp flat wood bit or hole saw to drill cleanly through the timber frame. To prevent unsightly wood splintering on the front face of your premium gate, drill from the inside until the pilot tip just breaks through the front skin, then switch to the outside to drill back through and finish the hole cleanly.
