Description
Aylesbury Gates Adjustable Hooks & Bands on Plates Kit – Timber Gate Hardware for Garden & Driveway
Overview
The Aylesbury Gates Adjustable Hooks & Bands on Plates Kit is the gold standard for installing heavy, wide, or high-traffic timber gates. Unlike standard fixed hinges, this adjustable kit eliminates the nightmare of sagging gates. By utilizing a heavy-duty threaded eyebolt system, it grants you the mechanical flexibility to perfectly align double driveway gates or large single courtyard gates with millimeter precision.
Whether you are mounting directly onto brick pillars, concrete posts, or heavy wooden gate posts, the flat-plate hook design offers a rock-solid foundation that evenly distributes high structural loads.
Key Features
-
Effortless Post-Install Adjustments: If your wooden gates swell in the winter or sag due to ground shifting, simply adjust the nuts with a spanner to restore a perfectly level swing.
-
Maximum Security Hook Design: The deep-seated hook-on-plate mechanism prevents the gate from being easily lifted off its hinges by intruders when closed.
-
Ultimate Corrosion Resistance: Treated with an advanced exterior-grade coating to prevent rust, peeling, and unsightly bleeding onto your premium timber.
-
Smooth High-Load Rotation: Precision-forged pin and loop connections guarantee a smooth, squeak-free glide even under maximum weight capacities.

Installation & Adjustment Tip
Pro Tip: When installing, position the top hook facing downward and the bottom hook facing upward if you want to completely lock the gate onto the posts and prevent theft. To adjust a gate that has sagged over time, slightly loosen the inside nut on the top hinge and tighten the outside nut—this will pull the top of the gate back toward the post and lift the closing edge off the ground.
