Mounting a timber gate directly to a brick pillar or masonry wall can be a challenge. Fixing hinges directly into stone often results in weak connection points, crumbling mortar, and misaligned gates. The Timber Wall Plate offers a reliable trade solution. By securely anchoring this structural timber plate to the wall first using heavy masonry bolts, you create an unyielding, perfectly level wooden surface.

Once in place, your gate hinges, hook-on-plates, or latch keeps can be screwed directly into the timber plate with maximum thread engagement. This distributes the physical weight of the gate evenly across the entire surface of the wall rather than stressing individual brick courses.
